Russians will be able to vacation in Cyprus starting in March. As Izvestia reported on February 10 with reference to the country’s embassy in Moscow, from the first month of spring, residents of the Russian Federation can apply for tourist visas.
At the same time, the filing process itself will completely go online. The application will need to be submitted electronically on the websites of the embassy and consulates.
As a reminder, tourists will be able to enter the country from March 1 if they have a negative PCR test for coronavirus, done at least 72 hours before departure. It is important that the certificate of vaccination is not equated to it. According to preliminary information, the Russians will also have a test upon arrival.
At the moment, regular passenger flights have not yet been resumed between the Russian Federation and Cyprus, and so far there is no information on the opening date of the route. Currently, only cargo-and-passenger charter flights are carried out, tours based on such flights are prohibited.
At the same time, a number of airlines have already announced their flight programs to Cyprus with this status. In particular, Ural Airlines are planning to start flights on the Yekaterinburg – Larnaca route from March 7th. From March 4, Nordwind will start operating direct flights on the Moscow – Larnaca route. S7 also postponed the start of its charter program to March.
Tour operator “Biblio-Globus” is going to take its tourists to Cyprus from March 3 on the wings of the airline “Russia” (flight status in the system is not specified – ed.). Pegas Turistik is still cautious and has been selling tours based on its own transportation since the end of April. The rest of the companies – on the basis of regular flights or only ground handling.
Only important. For the pros only.
