The Cypriot authorities will open the entrance to the country for Russian tourists from April 1, 2021. This was stated by the Minister of Tourism Savvas Perdios during a video message to the participants of the ceremony organized by the tour operator TEZ Tour.
From this date, Russia will be removed from the “gray” category of countries. If our country is in the “red” zone for coronavirus, then Russian tourists will have to register on the Cyprus FlightPass portal 24 hours before departure, as well as pass two PCR tests: one – no later than 72 hours before departure, the second – express -test on arrival. Its cost at Larnaca airport is 30 euros at Larnaca airport, and at Paphos airport – 32 euros. Quarantine will not be mandatory.
A representative of the Cypriot government has not yet clarified whether the conditions of entry for vaccinated tourists will be relaxed, especially in the case of certification of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine in the EU.
Cyprus is one of the most popular destinations for Russians, the press service of TEZ Tour said. “We are extremely pleased with the return of tourism and hasten to assure that our host company is fully prepared to welcome guests to the island. All our exclusive partners will continue to delight the tour operator’s clients in the coming season with very attractive accommodation conditions, as well as various bonuses and compliments, ”the tour operator said in a statement.
Currently, air traffic between Russia and Cyprus is significantly limited. Flights to Larnaca are operated only from Moscow by Aeroflot (4 r / week) and Pobeda – one weekly flight. For further expansion of flights, an appropriate decision of the operational headquarters and the Russian government is required.
Only important. For the pros only.
