The authorities of the Dominican Republic announced the extension of the free tourist insurance program until July 30, 2021, inclusively, according to a note from the country’s Ministry of Tourism.
This program allows you to cover all the costs of treatment, accommodation and repatriation of a tourist in case of infection with coronavirus while on vacation in the Dominican Republic. The insurance policy is provided free of charge for the entire vacation period if the booking is confirmed at any hotel.
In addition, the Ministry of Tourism of the Dominican Republic stressed that the country has already completed the process of universal vaccination against coronavirus of employees of the tourism sector. Also, all hotels continue to apply strict sanitation protocols.
Currently, it is not required to present a negative PCR test to enter the country; instead, passengers are sampled.
The Ministry also noted that the Dominican Republic is among the top five countries in the region in terms of vaccination rates, which allows continuing the policy of openness to tourism.
Only important. For the pros only.
