The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, does not exclude the introduction of a hard lockdown in the region, if the dynamics of the increase in new cases of coronavirus does not improve in a week. He stated this on June 30 at a meeting of the operational headquarters to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

“We are on the verge of making tough decisions. If another week passes and the dynamics does not improve, perhaps we will take other measures in the regions – up to a complete closure. There will be no other, I will not allow the destruction of medicine, and that a large number of people die prematurely because of this, ”said Aksenov.

Recall that in recent days about 300 new cases have been registered in the republic every day – this is the maximum figure since January this year (in May there were less than 100). During the week, 1,726 cases of new coronavirus infection and 1,327 of community-acquired pneumonia were confirmed.

Aksenov added that the reason for a lockdown in a particular area may be non-compliance with previously introduced restrictions: “In those regions where neither the authorities nor business representatives consider it necessary to comply with the prescribed measures, we will introduce a complete closure. We are asking businesses, please, let’s abide by the rules. “

Head of the Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor Natalia Penkovskaya confirmed that there are many violations – cafes in resort regions ignore the ban on working at night, observance of the mask regime in public transport has dropped below 30%.

In response, Aksenov ordered to organize night checks of compliance with the restrictions imposed by the business. He asked the malicious violators to be included in the “black list” of organizations to which the authorities intend to refuse assistance in the future.

If Crimea closes completely, taking into account the restrictions in the Krasnodar Territory, it threatens to disrupt the entire resort season. Domestic tourism operators will find themselves in the most difficult position.

Only important. For the pros only.
