Israel is launching the first, pilot, phase of the resumption of inbound tourism. From May 23 to June 15, 20 tourist groups will enter the country.

“As part of a pilot project, the Israeli Ministry of Tourism has published an appeal for tour operators to apply for entry by one group at a time. Within 9 minutes after the registration was opened, the allocated quota was filled. As of today, registered tour operators will be able to bring to Israel one group of 5 to 30 foreign tourists, ”the press release of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism said.

So far, only tourists from countries are allowed into the country, the epidemiological situation of which meets the requirements of the country’s Ministry of Health. Travelers need to have a certificate of vaccination with a vaccine approved by the Israeli Ministry of Health (Sputnik V is not yet included in their number) and do two PCR tests, one 72 hours before entry, and the second upon arrival, plus upon arrival take a serological test for antibodies.

According to Minister of Tourism of Israel Oriet Farkash-Hakoen, employees of his department are already preparing the second stage associated with the increase in inbound tourism. “It is very important for Israel today to bring travelers back to revive the tourism industry and provide jobs for hundreds of thousands of people,” Farkash-Hakoen said.
