Israel’s Ministry of Tourism will resume a program to subsidize direct tourist flights from other countries. This was announced by Vladimir Shklyar, Director of the Department of the Ministry of Tourism of Israel in the Russian Federation and the CIS, Counselor of the Embassy of the State of Israel in the Russian Federation.
“Most of Israel’s population is vaccinated. In this regard, the country is ready to resume international tourism in full. Moreover, Israel’s Ministry of Tourism will subsidize direct flights between various countries and the resort town of Eilat during the tourist season, which will last from September 1 to May 31, ”he said.
According to the published Directive, the Ministry will compensate tour operators and other consolidators for the costs of direct flights to Ramon Airport in Eilat.
The program will apply to flights from September 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022, with the exception of September 20-27, 2021 and April 15-22, 2022. The Ministry will reimburse flight customers for the costs of each passenger sent to Eilat in the amount of 60 euros
At the same time, the organizers of flight programs will be able to receive an additional 10% (only 66 euros per passenger), when performing at least 10 weekly flights to Ramon. One air carrier must operate from 16 to 75 direct flights.
The direct flights subsidy program has allowed Israel to significantly increase the flow of tourists from target markets, including Russia, including by reducing the cost of tour packages. Experts acknowledge that subsidy programs can be one of the significant drivers of recovery of inbound flow in the post-pandemic period.
Earlier, Israel announced its plans to open to international tourists in the summer of 2021. The discovery process here is directly related to the rate of vaccination, while Israel is the world leader in terms of the proportion of the vaccinated population.
Only important. For the pros only.
