Thomas Cook, re-established as an OTA, announced that it has signed a long-term partnership with Attraction World, which offers destination experiences for entertainment and leisure activities.
The deal will enable Thomas Cook to gain access to the sale of 20,000 excursions and activities in more than 70 destinations, as well as ticket sales to Attraction World, and will also supply Cook with the technology of ticket sales for events.
At the first stages, the tour operator will sell Attraction World inventory through the “white label”, and after a while it will move on to fully integrate the API into its online portals.
In fact, this deal is a renewal of cooperation, since Attraction World worked with the Thomas Cook Group for a long time before the liquidation of the company in September 2019.
Thus, the updated Thomas Cook resumes work in the destination experience market, where the Musement platform, owned by the TUI Group, has a strong position.
Fosun, a Chinese holding company that owns the rights to the Thomas Cook brand, has announced the re-launch of the travel company as an OTA, focusing almost entirely on the dynamic packaging model. Last week, the previously announced partnership agreement with the largest poor bank Hotelbeds, which lists more than 180,000 properties around the world, as well as one of the largest aviation consolidators, Paxport, was officially confirmed.
The updated Thomas Cook has already received a license from the UK authorities to carry out tour operator activities.
Only important. For the pros only.
