Tour operator TUI Russia will launch a charter service between Moscow and Doha in the winter season of 2021. On June 3, the company signed a corresponding agreement with the Qatar National Tourism Council (QNTC) as part of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF-2021).
According to the press service of the tour operator, charter flights are planned from October 2021 to May 2022.
Akbar Al-Baker, Secretary General of the National Tourism Board of Qatar and Chief Executive Officer of Qatar Airways stated that this mutually beneficial agreement will diversify Qatar’s tourism offer on the market and provide Russian travelers with more affordable travel options.
“The agreement also includes guaranteed blocks of seats on Qatar Airways flights between Russia and Qatar, so travelers can choose the level of service they need,” he stressed.
“Qatar is an interesting country, which has every chance to become a new star in the tourist horizon in 2-3 years. Therefore, we are already interested in occupying our niche here and are focused on close cooperation with the local government and the tourist industry, ”said at the signing ceremony General Director of TUI Russia Taras Demura…
According to experts, the country has a very good range of hotels, which continues to expand, as well as a number of interesting attractions. The recent cancellation of the visa regime for Russians will also help promote the direction.
Only important. For the pros only.
